IPL Magic: 14-Year-Old Vaibhav Suryavamshi Smashes Stunning Century

What a day it was in Jaipur! Well, 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavamshi made the whole cricket world sit up and take notice on Monday by smashing an unbelievable century for Rajasthan Royals against Gujarat Titans. Rajasthan, after a few tough losses, finally found their spark again — and that too, right at their home ground!

Vaibhav wasn’t just playing – he was on fire! Because he hit the fastest fifty of this IPL season, reaching 50 runs in just 17 balls. Can you imagine? In just a blink, half a century was on the board! The young boy showed no fear at all, hitting boundaries and sixes like he was playing in his backyard.

Facing some big names like Siraj, Ishant Sharma, Rashid Khan, and Prasidh Krishna, Vaibhav and Yashasvi Jaiswal completely dominated. Vaibhav went on to hammer 101 runs in just 38 balls before finally getting out to Prasidh Krishna. While doing that, he sent the ball flying for 7 boundaries and a mind-blowing 11 sixes!

Earlier in the evening, Rajasthan Royals won the toss and chose to field first. Gujarat Titans looked strong, putting up a massive 209 runs, thanks to a classy 84 from Shubman Gill and a quick 50 from Jos Buttler.

But Rajasthan wasn’t in a mood to give up. Yashasvi Jaiswal played steady and finished unbeaten on 70 runs from just 40 balls. Together, Vaibhav and Jaiswal stitched a record 166-run partnership that crushed Gujarat’s hopes early. Captain Riyan Parag also chipped in with an unbeaten 32 runs to finish the chase in style.

Nitish Rana did fall early to Rashid Khan, scoring only 4 runs, but by then, Rajasthan had full control. Finally, Rajasthan Royals chased down the huge target in just 15.5 overs, scoring 212 for 2 and taking home a much-needed victory.

Gujarat Titans, who were sitting at the second spot on the points table, now faced their third defeat in nine games. Rajasthan Royals, meanwhile, got their third win from ten matches, and what a sweet victory it was!
