RCB’s star batsman Phil Salt recently made a surprising statement about his teammate Virat Kohli – and the internet just can’t stop talking about it!

In a fun chat with Mr. Nags , Salt was asked whether he’s friends with Virat Kohli. At first, Salt shocked everyone by saying,

“Virat Kohli is not my friend.”

But hold on – that’s not where it ends!

Just a few seconds later, Salt laughed and added:

“Well, actually, everyone I play cricket with is my friend.”
So yeah, he kind of made a U-turn right there!

Phil Salt was speaking to Mr. Nags in a funny RCB interview. The video has been posted on RCB’s official social media pages and is now going viral.

Mr. Nags asked him,

“You once said you don’t have any friends in the IPL. So… are you friends with Virat or not?”

Salt smiled and said,

“At first, no. Just teammates.”
Then when Mr. Nags asked again, Salt said,
“Everyone I’ve played with is my friend.”

At the end of the interview, Mr. Nags pretended to get angry and stormed off – but don’t worry, it was just for laughs!

Fans Welcomed Salt with a Song

When Phil Salt joined RCB, fans welcomed him by singing a Kannada song – “Uppigeinta ruchi bere illa” (which means “Nothing tastes better than salt”).
Salt loved the welcome and even sang the line in the video! He also said:

“I’ve never seen such amazing fans before.”

What’s Happening with RCB Now?

Phil Salt didn’t play in a recent match against Delhi Capitals.
Captain Rajat Patidar explained it was because Salt had a fever.
RCB has now won 7 out of 10 matches and is doing great on the points table!

Their next match is on May 3 against CSK, and it will be played at RCB’s home ground.
