Kalaburagi: Well, I think it can finally happen! Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) is known for taking its own sweet time when it comes to recruitment. And guess what? This time, it has decided to restart a recruitment process from 19 years ago. Yes, you heard that right—19 whole years!
Back in 2006, KPSC had invited applications for the post of Motor Vehicle Inspector in the Transport Department. But, well, I think it ran into trouble! Some candidates were confused about the required educational qualifications. They didn’t know if they were eligible or not. So, they decided to go to court and ask for clarity.
Now, courts don’t work super fast (we all know that!). The case kept dragging on and on, and finally, after years of waiting, it even reached the Supreme Court. And well, I think it finally gave a decision! Just last February, the court told KPSC:
“Hey, look at all those applicants who waited for years! Check their complaints and finish the recruitment process already!”
So, here we are! KPSC has now reopened the process and is asking those old applicants, “Hey, do you still want the job?” But well, I think the real question is—are those applicants even interested anymore? Are they still working? Are they even alive? (No offense, but it has been 19 years!)
So, what now? Well, I think KPSC has given them a final chance! If they still want the job, they must submit their applications before March 24. So, let’s wait and see—will these old applicants still chase their dream job, or will this remain another classic case of KPSC delays?
