Rahul Gandhi recently reignited the debate around the operation by alleging that India informed Pakistan before launching Operation Sindhoor, calling it not a lapse, but a “crime.”
He posted on X (May 19):
“Should Pakistan know how many Indian fighter jets we lost? This isn’t just a failure — it’s a crime. The nation deserves the truth.”
He cited External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar’s past statements, suggesting Pakistan had prior info about the attack.
This was his second public post after he earlier questioned (on May 17):
“Who gave this advance info to Pakistan? And what was the cost we paid for it in aircraft?”
In response, the Ministry of External Affairs fired back, denying the claims, saying:
“The warning to Pakistan came after the operation ended, not before. The statement is being misrepresented.”
