Firozpur/Pathankot – Well, things just got real on Friday morning. Fresh attacks were reported from across the India-Pakistan border, and this time it wasn’t just tension — it was actual explosions, drones, and sirens blaring in multiple areas across Punjab and Jammu.
Loud booms sounds were heard in Pathankot and Firozpur districts. People in Amritsar and Hoshiarpur also reported panic after hearing the sound of air raid sirens. The situation hasn’t been this intense in a long time.

Drones, Explosions & Injuries – What’s Happening?
According to official sources, multiple drones were seen crossing over into Indian territory. Most of them have been shot down by our army, but some did manage to drop payloads, causing minor blasts in Firozpur and Pathankot.
We received information about 3 people with burn injuries. Doctors are treating them. Most drones have been neutralised.” Bhupendra Singh Sidhu reported to ANI
Well, that’s some relief, but the fear among locals hasn’t gone down. It’s clear that even a single drone that breaks through can cause serious damage if not intercepted in time.

Sirens, Alerts & Emergency Meetings
Since the blasts were reported, air raid sirens have gone off in multiple districts — Firozpur, Amritsar, Hoshiarpur, and even Pathankot.
In a quick response, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann called an emergency Cabinet meeting at his residence. He didn’t waste time — immediately assigned 10 Cabinet ministers to head straight to the border areas and stay with the people.
Well this is a sign that shows Government is damm serious this time . Well, it’s moments like this where leadership matters the most.

Chandigarh Airport & Mohali on High Alert
After the drone activity in Firozpur, officials in nearby areas aren’t taking any chances. An airstrike alert was issued around Chandigarh airport, including Mohali and Panchkula, asking people to stay indoors and be prepared for any sudden escalation.
It hasn’t turned into a full-scale attack yet — and we all hope it doesn’t — but if anything escalates from here, it can affect even the bigger cities.

‘Operation Sindoor’: India’s Strong Response
All of this comes just two days after India’s missile strikes under ‘Operation Sindoor’, where nine terror camps in PoK and Pakistan were hit after the horrifying Pahalgam attack, which killed 26 innocent tourists.
Since that attack, security has been at its highest across northern India. Now with today’s drone strikes, it’s clear this conflict is entering a dangerous new phase.
